Just for clarity's sake, I represent the even numbered houses in Church Road, but not the odds!  Believe they are in Stapehill.  Thanks.

I have seen the plans for the Wimborne Square Enhancement Scheme.  I can only think this must be good for Ferndown Central.  Following all the work in Verwood and Wimborne, it must now only be a matter of time before the Ferndown town centre improvements commence?  I would love to see a firm commitment from the EDDC cabinet in this direction before long, and I am confident that this will happen.

New Information Boards have been produced by EDDC but they are Wimborne-centric, and not appropriate for Ferndown, the largest settlement in the District.  I hope they will be amended, or I shall be asking for them not to be put up/to be taken down, and for an explanation into wastage of resources.

Drove past McDonalds after Full Council last night, 8.20pm.  The Halfords car park was awash with McDonalds litter, which has also blown across the road, into Lidl and so on.  This is one of the major problems of our time.  Do we care enough to stop it?

Since 25th May, and this Website & Blog going live I've had 292 hits, which may seem a little or a lot to you?  I'm very pleased with it, because every contact means Councillors are getting to grips with reaching out to their community.  It's just a start.  I will be confirming surgery dates at the town council offices shortly.  I will be linking to more local websites as time goes on, and I hope we can all work together in achieving a critical mass of electronic news, views and exchanges of information in Ferndown.

The community event on Ford Lane Recreation Ground was interesting.  Although poorly attended I was very pleased with the level of support for the event, loved RoboSteelPrime, pleased that Emily Master and Harry [a black labrador] won Best in Show, in the Pet Show and enjoyed to talking to friends in the sun.  We raised an initial £97.11, and with the draw being held at the RBL next Firday, hopefully this figure will rise substantially with further raffle ticket sales.  I will be sending an email seperately to all those who helped - we musn't be downhearted but be determined to engage regularly with our community with events at KGV fields and Ford Lane Recreation Ground, so it becomes the norm.

"Once the Core Strategy, Town Plan and STR are in  place it may be that we  progress a Town Centre Action Plan, which could either  form part of the  neighbourhood plan system, or the current mainstream LDF  process.  Either way,  we will ensure that we put a focus on dealing with the  issues of Ferndown  TC."  Encouraging news for Ferndown Town Centre today, as passed to the town clerk.

At work, at a lunch in Winchester today, talking to an interesting guy.  Spouting passionately about being a councillor.  Subsequently realised he was a Ferndown Central resident, and voted for me in the town council election!  Weird.

Thank you to those of you who are already following this site.  186 hits in the last week, which might not sound much, but I'm very pleased if I can just maintain that level of engagement with my residents, to compliment my other communication channels.  It's just the most important thing as a councillor.  Bar nothing.

Received a letter from a resident in the ward this morning, with regard to 'the Warren' current planning application.  Have looked at the site, checked the YouTube videos, checked the town council recommendation and had a meeting with the EDDC planning officer.  Have now replied to resident.
