Picture Shows Cllr Steven Lugg
_I've created this personal Website and Blog to allow my electors and others interested, to keep up with what I'm doing, saying and thinking as a District and Town Councillor, and how I'm representing you - if you live in Central Ward! All views are my own, and do not necessarily represent policy of East Dorset District Council, Ferndown Town Council or of the Conservative Party. Please note that I believe parish and town councils should be non- political, and thus I do not represent the Conservative Party on the town council.
I want to be a strong voice for Ferndown in East Dorset, and to support the maintenance and improvements to quality of life in our beautiful area, in which so many want to live, work and play. My personal priorities are:
- To improve the centre of Ferndown to create a well-used, vibrant modern town centre
- To support the regulation of traffic in our congested town, and improve non-motorised routes and access around town
- To improve our open and green spaces for leisure, recreation and for wildlife, and reduce litter, tipping and graffitti
- To support the most needy and vulnerable in our community.
EDDC committees and representation:
Licensing Committee
Audit and Scrutiny Committee
Representative - Ferndown Community Association (Barrington Theatre)
Ferndown Town Council committees and representation:
Environment Committee
Finance and General Purpose Committee
Representative - Environment Themed Action Group
Representative - Ferndown Central Partners Against Crime Together
I am also Chairman of Ferndown in Bloom, and have an allotment in Longham on the 'Lord Wimborne' site off the roundabout opposite the bicycle shop near Haskins.
Find me on twitter @FerndownCentral.
I live with my family on the Ameysford Estate and we are involved with many parts of Ferndown life. My wife Cathy is an independent town councillor, currently Chairman of the Ferndown Central PACT.
